ICE BEAM ICE BEAM ICE CREAM ICE CREAM fuckin faggot ice man takes a second to recover from doing his icebeam and you can superjump and combo him if you are too close on the ground for him to hit you. just keep dashing when he super jumps and then superjump after him and do an air combo. when he's on the ground he is very strong. that is where i respect ice man's shit, specially with sentinel's assist. but i fuckign hate him in the air the way the fags use him, hanging back and just staying away in such a thoughtless way and bullshit, or just sitting there those fucking dumbass queers. when he's just sitting there, he won't even call an assist unless you jump in then hell jump back and try to cover his assist with ice cream. so jump in and when you know he's going to jump back and do an ice beam, block the ice beam then delay hyper combo his assist. if your last guy in the delayed hyper combo is vulnerable expect fucking dumbass hole iceman to run in an launch to air combo to easy ass super. but that is nothing compared to a good delayed hyper combo against iceman assist, like war machine repulsor blast to proton cannon, then cancel into morrigan soul eraser, then cancel into hyper viper beam. that will kill the assist if it's a bit below one hundred percent. i think one hundred percent will still survive, but it probably could kill 100% assists if you mash hard enough. and what the fuck is iceman goign to do? hit cable with that air super and cancel it into what? saotome cyclone? or captain sword? hail storm will be weak if canceled after arctic attack. that is still not enough to kill a full cable. and cable can just wait till faggot ass iceman super jumps to switch out and heal. anyway if you're using cable iceman is dead anyway, as soon as they bring in iceman counter in cable and just super jump and throw down grenades when he's on the ground, and when he super jumps, wait till he does ice cream and super jump and combo him. that fucking loser. i fuckign HATE FUCKING ICE MAN THAT DUMB FUCKIN UGLY MOTHERFUCKER. by the way cable kicks the shit out of iceman along with everyone else, any ice beam or his fucking dumb super will give cable air hyper viper beam. you could also jump in and when ice mean jumps back and tries to cover assist with ice beam, block it then do silver samurai lightning canceled to hulk's gamma crush canceled to any super you want that does just decent damage and it'll kill the assist. soul eraser will work, magnetic shockwave will even work, shinku hadoken will work. hulk's gamma crush can do 75% when mashed up, and you can cancel right on the last hit. that shit is RIGHT. i have only fought 2 people who i respect with that gay iceman shit. the rest can go to hell sucking iceman's frozen dick. late. This is what's been working for me against the Iceman's of the world. To me, it depends on when you have to face him. If he's first, have patience. Iceman has not way to beat Spiral's wall of swords. Get a chance to activate swords, then chip away. If you do it right he'll have to super jump out, at which time you call Blackheart. This may take a while, but it's worth it. IF you kill Iceman like this, your opponent may panic because of the lack of time. If you catch him in the middle it all depends on who you have. If you have Spiral/BH do as above. If you have Spiral/Doom, try to throw swords, and chip with Doom. I like to try for a "demi-Strider/Doom" where teleport on top of them and call Doom. Doom/BH. Do a trap (either jump back fierce, call BH if he super jumps, or Call BH, super jump, fierce on the way up, start throwing protons at peak of jump). This of course depends on time. If you are ahead in power, or you have time to burn, trap Iceman. This won't chip, but it still charges meter. Now, you want to DHC Blackheart in (or Spiral if she's still alive), if that's not an option, you'll have to try to rush him down with Doom. Good luck. low short, low forward, low fierce and AC if you get the chance. BH/Doom, If you get this matchup, just get close, call Doom, super jump, drop deamons, repeat. You want Spiral/BH on him, but if you don't have that luxary, make good with who you have. They can't jump out and icebeam you when you have BH assist, also you can just SJ with them and keep tossing swords. Spiral rapes Iceman for free. If he likes to jump up and shoot beams like you say then BH beats him too, although BH can't beat a decent Iceman. Any iceman who likes to superjump and shoot icebeams down is not good and easily dealt with. So the question is how to take advantage of this. Anything + Doom-B owns iceman completely, he takes the block damage from one of the best ones in the game + ANY attack he does will only hit one character... this means that if he hits doom, your character gets a free hit.. if he attacks your main character, he will probably be hit by the rocks. In your team.. it is probably difficult to start the spiral doom trap, because a blocked icebeam between some swords will make up all the damage.. My advice would be to either make a tighter spiral trap (SJ call swords, trap them low and call doom, or call bh if they escape. OR use bh/doom... fierce demons on the way down, call doom, sj back up with roundhouse. bh is never in danger of getting hit by an icebeam + you get max chip from doom + meter from RH (which you can't really use right now, so just save it..) Assuming he throws out a jab icebeam at the beginning of the match, assists, an continues. Block an icebeam or 2 if you have to, an when you can predict easy that he's gonna do one, Teleport, an hold down+ RK ( assumin you're player 1 an on the according side) you'll appear right behind him, an since icebeam has the shittiest recovery time, launch, LP LP DP throw, activate swords, start throwin em as you go down,Call BH, which keeps him grounded, while you jump an Activate swords. Teleporting behind him isn't always as reliable since she seems to teleport relative to where the opponent is(unlike Psylocke, Strider, who have set places to teleport) and sometimes the placement isn't as good for attacking. Teleporting above seems to cross them up better, and also Iceman has no way to attack directly above himself, like most beamers. So even if you teleport late you are still somewhat safe. However one strategy I would do with Doom is this: Call Doom and immediately teleport to his other side(not above) so you appear in the air. Now Iceman has to worry about Doom rocks on one side, and you on other side and you can attack him high in the air then low on the ground. Try to have swords as well. You can hit him with a feirce punch which will keeping him blocking, and which point tap weak punch to shoot swords while her arms are still out and Doom's rocks will also chip him. He has commited himself to an attack that allows Spiral to beat on him from behind once she has teleported. Doom will recover from the ice beam while Spiral destroys Iceman. So you can just bait him with an assist. You can do 5 or 6 Sword sets (i prefer six). Which will be Call Swords, 2 as you fall, 2 on the ground, two as you jump. And You'll call BH every other time you touch the ground. He can't get an Iceman off on the ground, so he'll have to take to the sky. Because of the Blackheart assist, he'll only have one chance to escape, which will be after he blocks BH and while you are recharging. Get a feel for this and you'll know for certain when he can escape. Anyways, when he manages to escape, you should be "expecting" it, so you can teleport either a) right on top of him, where he has NO attacks, or b) in the top opposite corner, that way you'll have a chance to re-start the trap as you land. Teleport to either place, it just depends on how much damage you can deal out if you go above him. Lately, my team is spiral:alpha or gamma/ doom beta/ BH with AAA. He always starts with cyclop, what he would do is block in his corner. I would start using my spiral's wall of swords, along with Doom's beta assist, however, since my trap isnt really THAT tight, he just use iceman to icebeam assist me and my doom. Sometimes, he would also MOB my doom when im recharging. Getting close to him is no option too, he got CapCom's AAA, if i teleport above him he would use cap's AAA. If i attack cap with spiral, I get MOB. If i teleport after commando's AAA, he would start Doublejumping away, or predict it and MOB me. I gotten beat by this guy quite a few times now, and i beat him numerous times before as well. But now im not as confident that i can own him anymore cuz of his tactic. Use Doom B, the "Anti-Air Assit". Most Versitle assist in the game (even if Anti Air is not one of its uses).
